Introduction

Ingredients

 

1 lb ground beef

1 lb ground pork 

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 eggs

1/4 cup milk

2 cloves garlic, minced 

1 small onion, finely chopped

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 cups marinara sauce 

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a large baking dish and set aside.

Prepare the Meatballs:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, eggs, milk, minced garlic, chopped onion, parsley, salt, and black pepper.

Mix until all ingredients are well combined.

Shape the mixture into 1-2 inch meatballs and place them in the prepared baking dish.

Bake the Meatballs: 

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until they are browned and cooked through.

Add the Sauce and Cheese:

Remove the meatballs from the oven and pour the marinara sauce over them.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.

Sprinkle the dried oregano over the cheese for added flavor.

Final Baking:

Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve:

Remove from the oven and let the dish sit for a few minutes before serving.

Serve the baked meatballs with a side of pasta, a fresh salad, or crusty bread.
